Paranoid Pregnant Lady

Either I watch too many Law & Orders or there is something seriously up in my neighborhood. Here are the facts:

  • Ry and I went out yesterday to grab a video. As I was driving down the street that enters our neighborhood there was a white SUV pulled over to the side. A woman had her window down. Just as I drove past she whipped out a camera (it appeared she was taking pictures up towards some one's home... (PI, photographer who saw an exotic bird while driving???)
  • This morning, as I am talking to Lundy, I notice a cop car in our circle. He is parked in front of a driveway/mailbox 3 doors down from my own. I can't see anyone in the car so I assume Mr. Police Officer is inside the house that he is in front of...
  • Prior to getting dressed the cop car has now changed positions. He is almost 4 houses (directly across the street of my own) down. Still facing the same direction.
  • Ryleigh pile in the car (this is about an hour after I first saw the cop car) and the cop car is now facing the opposite direction as if he is going to leave our circle. I check our mail from the day before and Mr. Police Officer is in the car.
  • When I pull out of our driveway and I am parallel with the cop car I notice Mr. Police Officer pulling out a pair of binoculars just as I am moving forward (Possible Sting Operation??)
  • When I am on the road that enters my neighborhood I notice a black van, running, man inside... (uhmmm, probably nothing but just something to note).

So here is my thoughts:

  • I've completely lost it AGAIN. When I was pregnant with Ryleigh, Glenn had a "meeting" about his new contract. I was so paranoid that I drove to the meeting and drove around the parking lot, couldn't find his car, so I thought he was cheating on me! He wasn't, I was just grossly paranoid.
  • Some thing's going down in the neighborhood for real, like a drug bust, white collar crime, porn??? Maybe MSNBC will be here to film, "How to Catch a Criminal"???
  • Probably nothing much... just an overactive imagination who is so bored being a stay-at-home mom.

I vote for the 3rd option.... how boring!!!

You won't believe this, but that same sort of thing happened around these parts last week. Almost same scenario and then we saw the people moving out feverishly. The cops were on their case for several weeks. They were only in their house for six months or so and just up and left last Saturday. I guess it was drugs. My neighbor that knows everything that's going on told me. You need to find yourself a neighbor who's got the skinny!

J - I actually did think of that so I ran through all the criminal activity in my head and came back with zip. Sorry I hate to disappoint but I don't think the cops are interested in me. I feel like Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies snooping around (okay not really snooping, just observing) and wondering. Don't think the case will be solved today... will keep you all posted!
Alisa - HOW Freaky!!! Our neighbors semi across the street just moved out....their house isn't even on the market (no for sale sign...I even looked in local real estate websites to see and didn't find one listing). The plot thickens...

You crack me up!! Nothing like an adventure in the neighborhood! No neighborhood goes without some kind of excitement happening! I remember one night last year we(Bobby, my Dad, and I)watched from our front window the gentleman that lived across the street rushed into his garage and closed the garage door just before the cops could get to it. They were banging and kicking on the front door. They knew he was there! It was quite interesting! I think all the cops on duty that night were out front! Somehow they managed to get in from the back of the house. Not a word was heard of what had gone on. I too checked the internet, local papers, and spoke with neighbors and we came up with nothing! Then there was the drug house, BUSTED! One of my recent friends got in a flat-out cat fight with a neighbor just a few houses down! They were in the front yard havin' it out! It has been crazy and we live in a nice neighborhood as I am sure you do too!
The house that is semi-across the street from you could just be a foreclosure. You won't see that on the market for awhile if that is the case!
It is kind of fun playing detective though!
