I went in for my blood work to check on my iron and blood sugars. I failed both... SUCKS! I've been down this path before with
Ryleigh on both accounts. So now I get to take an iron supplement (no biggie) and I get to go in for the big 3 hour gestational diabetes test.
I will fail. I am not being a
pessimist rather a realist on this one. I asked for my number and it was 175. I decided to
retaliate by eating a
PBJ sandwich. How mature of me I know!

Oh crap, I was really hoping things would be different this time. Well guess you can stock up on graham crackers and cream cheese! I remember that was your snack last time :) At least splurge on a cupcake at Ry's birthday!
Oh my gosh... I did eat that didn't I. Oh it is worse than I remember... for the love of god this will stink. I shouldn't gain too much weight though. I didn't gain a pound after I was diagnosed the last time. So there is the ONE positive thing. The mega heartburn came back too so EVERYTHING is the same as the last pregnancy. I thought they were all suppose to be different?!?!
You ain't even kiddin' sister!

That chart says anything above 126 is diabetic...
My word woman!
I had to do the nasty flat orange soda test with Elizabeth TWICE because we moved and apparently K-P doesn't share information between Northern and Southern California.
Had to do it again with Dylan, this time, flat COLA. Yum. :(
I passed both time though.
Then last summer my GP checked my blood and said I was pre-diabetic and to lose 10 pounds. I lost 8 in a month.
Now I'm getting fat again...
Grr.
I'll probably be on this train with you soon hon.
My bloodwork is in a week.
oh faye- that super sucks! I loved the family pics. i can't wait to see more!:)
keep us posted on your tests!
miss you
Thanks for the info Jesse. I am checking out the website you sent. I can get over the nasty drink but the DIET sucks. It's more carbs than I normally eat so it's always an adjustment for me. My big 3 hour is on Monday so I should have the results sometime late next week.
