Are they even related

The first question out of everyone's mouth after I had Evan was, "Does he have hair?" The answer is yes but compared to his sister he might as well be bald...

Lookie...

Evan's falling and it's funny...at least to Ryleigh

Making Cookies

Ryleigh and I stayed entertained last weekend (during the big snowstorm) by making cookies. She has really turned into the big helper always asking to help. This was our first cookie time together. We worked our way up from Pancake Maker to Cookie Baker!

HOME

We're home. Here are the stats for those of you who may not know yet...

Baby Boy
Name: Evan Reid
Delivered at 10:49 am
7 lbs. 5 oz / 19.2 inches

We're doing great. I feel fab and Evan is a terrific sleeper and eater. Ryleigh is still at her grandparents and will be until this horrible bug is gone. She went to the doctor's yesterday because it was still raging and my mom was getting very concerned. Glenn met them at the doctor's and she has a viral infection that is running it's course. They got some advice on how to try to get meds into her and liquids (milkshakes!!!). Today she seems to be on the mend I can finally report. However she will be staying at my parents until she has been fever free for at least 24 hours. So hopefully she will be able to join us on Friday but most likely it will be Saturday. I can't wait to see her. I miss her and I want some photos with her and her brother.

I will post a photo or two soon... I just need to upload them but I have some other pressing things like nursing to go do...and shower... and maybe a nap. Till then, thanks for your prayers and good thoughts. I got them because this was the easiest delivery and I feel great & Evan is beautiful and doing super!!!!

Taking a break...

Next time you will hear from me I will be part of a family of 4. I am excited but nervous. I had to drop off Ryleigh tonight at my folks and she has been so sick. Her temp reached 104.7 today and her refusal to take medicine had us at our wits end (She would spit it out, how nice!). We tried to put it in items she would eat or drink but she was wise and refused those items. Anyway, we got it back under control I HOPE!!!
So if you pray, pray for the well being of Ryleigh. If you don't... cross your fingers that she is a good girl, listens to her grandparents and takes her medicine and gets better. I already miss her (which is common for me but I usually enjoy a night off from my girl... just was a lot harder with the idea of going to the hospital and her being so sick).
Stay tune for news later this week. Till then hug your kids tighter (since I won't be able to hug my oldest GERM).

Tonsillitis

Ryleigh is following in her mom's footsteps (dad's too). She has tonsillitis AGAIN! This is her third time in 2.5 months. It looks like an ENT will be in her future and possible removal of those pesky things.

Can we just change her name to GERM?!?!

Yup, you guessed it Ryleigh is sick again. She has been running a fever since yesterday afternoon (although I thought she felt warm at lunch and she was a bit clingy...). Anyway, I was able to get her a doctor appointment this morning. Look for an update. Also I will post some photos of her big girl room.
Hopefully by posting ya'll realize I am still preggers... only 43.5 hours to go!
